Prenatal Paternity Tests
Paternity can be determined prior to birth between the 10th and 24th weeks of pregnancy either through CVS or amniocentesis. The CVS and amnios are done by an OB/GYN.
The total cost of the prenatal paternity test really depends on if your doctor prescribes either of these tests for you. If he/she doesn’t feel that this test should be a part of your pre-natal testing then you would have to pay out of pocket. We do have a list of doctors we can refer you to if you do not have an OB/GYN who does the CVS or amnio.
The cost of the paternity test is $400.
The cost of the CVS or amnio ranges between $350 to $1,500 depending on the doctors available in your area.
If your doctor feels you’re a high risk pregnancy he/she might prescribe either of these pre-natal tests. If so, we would send them a DNA collection kit and they would take an extra sample for the paternity test. This could significantly reduce the price and you would only be responsible for the paternity cost of $400.
The test results would be available within 5 business days from the time all parties are collected.
